Band History
Ranuka and Kulunu gave birth to Stat RK in the year 2004. Kulunu who came for his Advanced Level to ST. Anne's College was a very good friend of Ranuka. It was so planned that Kulunu was sent into the same classroom of Ranuka. There they both contributed towards the music field in the school. They did their utmost in school which made them enthusiastic towards music. When time permitted, they sang in the classroom, in the playground and everywhere. Here they decided that they will make this dream of Stat RK a reality.
Piyal, a student of ST. Anne's College joined these two and supported them in music. They were once again joined by Sidath making their path steady and clear.
Ranuka Gamage
He was born in 1987 and educated at ST. Anne's College, Kurunegala.
He has music talents in various areas such as lyric writing,music composing, melody composing and of course in singing.
His hobbies are singing, listening to music and seeking new ventures.
Right now he is following CIMA degree.
Kulunu Jayakody
He was a student of Wayamba Royal College and also ST. Anne's College, Kurunegala. He was born in 1987.
He likes to sing when he is free and listen to music. He is a talented fellow who is good in music composing, melody composing and singing.
He has gone to Australia to follow an Accountancy degree.
Currently he is studing at Deaking University, Australia.
Achievements
2006 After few years of experiments on doing good music STAT RK decided to launch their first show.
It was ETHNO PARTY.
Ethno party was staged at the Kurunegala town hall on 19 August 2006. This made them more courageous and confident in their venture. This was their first show. This was made a reality with the help of their parents, relations, friends and sponsors. They are ever greatful to all their well wishers and sponsors.
They deeply appreciate the support and courage given by Mrs. Darneila Munasinghe and Mr. Amal Jayasooriya. They will never forget all the lovely folk who were there to witness Ethno Party.

2007 Approaching the Field of Music with Sihinayan Audio
After their first show they decided to launch their first track sihinayan (the radio version)
They released it in 2007.
They got to know of Vishwa from Kasun Kalhara who works with Kasun .So they did their first song Sihinayan @ Vishwa's studio.
It was played on Y fm & Max fm later on..

2008 Then they put up a studio for their music needs...(A dream they had since 2006)
Since Kulunu had gone to Australia they could not finish their video "Sihinayan" in 2007.
They planned to redo the song sihinayan for the video again in 2008..so in their studio SIDPRO they did the video version of sihinayan.
