Dancing Crew

The dancing crew has been a great revelation to the classy performance that is hosted on stage and on SWASTHIKA videos. For the first time in Sri Lanka , SWASTHIKA fans and all music lovers' has been experiencing a powerful stage act filled with blistering dancers mainly compressed of street dancing.

Namal Bandara , age 21, is currently the dancing director and choreographer of all stage shows and music videos of SWASTHIKA. Still young in age, but immensely talented, is another new find that is bound to jam the nation.

The Current Crew members are Hasitha, Ranga, Nizer, Chamara(Laka), Chapa, Nuwan(Bora), Vipula and is due to more expansions.

Born in 1983, November 15 th , finished his education at Ashoka Vidyalaya, Colombo-10 and for further studies choose Information Technology at American College. Currently run his own company named DREAMWORK MEDIA. Started his singing carries in the age of 14 and was a part of the band Twisted Republic for 2 years. Then he went solo and got his clean break after been placed 1 st at “K2K” Karaoke 2000 (Interact) all island singing competition and was known as the stage name of ASH. And then he joined DOWN TOWN which became SWASTHIKA in 2001.

Anushka says:
During this journey of 8 eventful years, there are so many people that walked beside me to get this album done. So before I forget the list hear it goes. My loving parents Luxman n Manel Tennekoon (my real gods). My best friend who also happens to be my bro Dhanushka who showed me the path, Udeshi K the special one, ma band members Hafeel and Dinuka (power n ma strength), big shout to my crazy friends, Dinuk, Ruchith, Hiran, Vishwa, Ramesh, Buddika and all the friends @ Asoka Vdyalaya and American College, my lions club “Kotte Capital City”. My friend who has been more than a friend Tarindu Perera, Diliup G (The Man), Chatura Ambegoda and his family, my brothers late Gihan(GP) and Niluka thanks 4 every thing u gave me and u thought me! And every single person that has missed out but that I will never forget.

Born in 1983 March 22 nd , finished his primary education at Zahira College, Colombo-10, and went on to Australian College of Business & Technology (ACBT) and Deakin University, Toorak Campas, Melbourne, Australia. Currently works for a multinational company. Started his musical career at the age of 9 at Marjorie De Alwis School of Speech, Music, Ballet and Drama under Mrs. Christine Perera. The bands 1 st ever original “True & Deep” was written by him. At “Talent Search 99” (interact) he won “1 st runner up” in the solo category & made to the Pre-Finals of “Show Boat Karaoke 2001”. While in Australia , he was a member of the bands B# (Be sharp).At the same time he had the golden opportunity to perform at the “B n S” concert in 2003 in Melbourne.

Hafeel says:
Thank god! It's finally over!!! I've been waiting for over eight years of to see it come true & to thank a lot of people for a long time. 1 st fore most god almighty! & my beloved mom Ramani, my bro. Jehan (J.J.), my brothers in progress Anushka & Dinuka, my dad Johar(Judy) Preena, my big daddy G of music Diliup G & his family. Niluka & Gihan for their undying friendship, teachings & brotherly love! Aunty Christain Perera, Aunty Marjorie De Alwis, Aunty Menik Jayaserika, Aunty Usha Sarwanamuttu, & all my teachers at Marjorie De Alwis School, all my teachers and friends at Zahira College, ACBT, Deaekin University, Melbourne and other institutes, Sanjaya Jayathilake, Uncle Jayanath, Steven Peirz(DJ Stieve), and all that I have not forgotten but not remembered.

Born in 1984, May 17 th , finished his primary education in Mahanama College , Colombo-3 and higher education in S.Thomas' College, Mt Lavinia. Currently a student at Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT), where he follows a degree in Business and IT (BIT). The start of his singing career is with the band “ Twisted Republic ” in the age of 15 and he performed in various all island competitions where his band achieved places. The song ‘Every time' was the first song that was written by him. He joined SWASTHIKA in the mid 2003 and has contributed immensely to the rebirth of the band. In his early days was only interested in “Alternative Rock” but now has become a good observer to all styles of music.

Dinuka says:
Over and Out! Now the ship is good to go. Well now that it happened and when I look back, I can see that I was not alone, not alone indeed. So I thank my fate for getting me this far. My beloved parents (Ranjan & Delani) My Guru in music the late Gihan Gamage, Niluka Weerasinghe who guided me in my early days in music, the great man him self, Diliup G. Hafeel and Anushka who would never let my spirits down. All ma pals at S Thomas' College mount, Mahanama College and APIIT. My granny, My bro Chamaka, Chatura Ambegoda, Nilupul, Erenga, Lakmal P(STC), Waseem T, Vishwa Fonseka the members of my previous band Lakmal Gunawardana, Kasun Munipura, Sahan Ranjajeewa, Mihira Kulatunga, , and specially Lass with everyone not been mentioned but never forgotten.
