Sahan : (Vocals & Guitar)

Sahan does his duty to the band as a vocalist, guitarist and a composer. And he is a featured vocalist with many other Sri lankan artists such as Gajan n Dinesh, Ashanthi, Smokani… He has completed his Western music, Theory and Pianoforte examinations ( Trinity College , London ) up to Grade V. Besides his talents in playing piano he's a good guitarist. Sahan has trained his voice for the Rock style of singing with an Indian rock singer- Chanda, who is a close friend of his, during his stay in India . Plus he's a B.Sc. Graduate in Geology.

Ranil : (Vocals)

Ranil has got a unique voice which contains the exact rock falva that added some energy to the Kinnaree album. In addition, his compositions have that sweet touch of western alternative rock. He is a IT graduate from‘ Staffordshire University ', England . Currently he's doing his Masters degree in System Information at Melbourne , Australia .

Dineth : (Vocals & Keyboard)

Dineth is a trained vocalist and probably the main vocalist of the band. He always uses the weight and the gain of his voice to add some warmth to songs. He plays both keyboard and guitar besides his vocal counterpart. He likes Nu age metal and Pop rock. He is doing the final year of his graduation- Clothing Tech. n Management.

Miron : (Vocals & Guitar)

Though he is not a permanent member of Hasthi, he does his maximum to the band with his creativity and talent. Punk and Alternative rock, smooth jazz are his favorite music and his compositions consist of those music flavors. And he's a graduate in Information Tech.

Hasthi band member Sahan is a featured vocalist in the music of many top Sri Lankan artists such as Gajan N Dinesh(Cross Culture), Randir & Ashanthi. In this past 2 years Hasthi have appeared on many TV shows and interviews across all Sri Lankan TV channels as well as in several newspaper articles. The band has also played numerous concerts around the country.

Hasthi have become the First Sri Lankan band to publicize their hit single video Ginigena Mihithale on Australia's major TV show The Music Jungle [produced by Sony BMG] on Channel Nine . Hasthi (along with ErangaJ) were introduced into the chart after top singing sensations Avril Lavigne, Jay-Z, Rihanna etc… A copy of the TV show will be presented to you on CD in the near future.

HASTHI'S ALBUM: ‘KINNAREE' (..to be launched soon)

The album Kinnaree was produced at Sri Lanka 's topmost music production house, Saregama Studios, owned and operated by Bathiya & Santhush . Saregama Studios to date is the only studio in Sri Lanka to produce a series of international quality music releases. Kinnaree was mixed and mastered by Sri Lanka 's most successful Pop Artist/Audio Engineer Bathiya Jayakodi . The engineering behind Kinnaree involves the most state of the art audio technologies and techniques. Other engineers involved in producing Kinnaree were Mahesh Denipitiya [composer of BNS' hit song Re Pura & Pinibinduwak ], Harsha Bulathsinghala & Shri shyamalangan [composer of BNS' hit song Kiri Kodu & Chandani Payala ].

Kinnaree features some of Sri Lanka 's topmost instrumentalists i.e. Shafi of the band Wild Fire, Mahinda Bandara on Guitar and Nuwan Balasuriya on Flutes. All songs in Kinnaree [except for Napuru Sihine ] were composed by Hasthi along with much of the lyrics for the album. Three-time Sarasavi Award winning lyricist Mr. Lucian Bulathsingala also wrote lyrics for many of the songs on Kinnaree .

We believe that this album would create a distinctive impact upon Sri Lankan popular music culture. The album consists of not only Sri Lankan Soft Rock, but some of our Oriental and Ethnic compositions. We expect ‘Kinnaree' to reach everybody's ears and to be loved by all.
